The Festival is open to HMTA students of all ages and levels, providing a unique opportunity to participate in a series of recitals held throughout the day. This is an adjudicated event, where students perform for a panel of judges and receive constructive, written feedback.
Event Details:
- Following the conclusion of all recitals, judges' comments will be shared with or sent to the teachers.
- Each participating student will be awarded a medal for their participation.
Registration Fees:
- Grades Kâ5: $30
- Grades 6â8: $35
- Grades 9-12: $40
Repertoire Requirements:
- Students are required to perform one piece by memory from the standard repertoire, or a collection of pieces by the same composer, within the designated time limit.
- Please note that method books and simplified arrangements are not permitted.
- Participants must bring their music for the judges' reference.
Attire:
- Appropriate concert attire is expected. Casual clothing such as jeans, sneakers, shorts, t-shirts, or sweatpants will not be allowed.
When registering, please indicate only significant scheduling conflicts. While we will make every effort to accommodate time requests, specific time slots cannot be guaranteed.
