This competition is open to students in grades 2 through 12. Participants will compete within their respective grade levels and will be awarded medals based on their performance, receiving either gold, silver, or bronze ribbons. In addition, each student will receive written feedback from the judges. Please note that this is a non-ranked competition, and no placements will be awarded.
Repertoire Requirements:
- Students are required to perform one piece from memory from the standard repertoire, or a selection of pieces by the same composer, within the allotted time.
- The use of method books and arrangements is not allowed.
Time Limits:
- Grades 2–5: 5 minutes
- Grades 6–8: 7 minutes
- Grades 9–12: 10 minutes
Performance Guidelines:
- All students should be familiar with the basics of stage presence, including how to walk on stage and bow with confidence.
- Performances must be memorized.
Additional Information:
- Teachers will receive the final schedule at least one week before the event and will be responsible for passing along the details to their students.
- Please remember that appropriate concert attire is expected. We kindly ask that you avoid casual clothing like jeans, sneakers, shorts, or sweats.
- When registering, please indicate only significant scheduling conflicts. While we will make every effort to accommodate time requests, specific time slots cannot be guaranteed.
